Dad has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, my uncles (his younger, twin brothers) both had it, one survived, the other sadly didn't - this page is in his memory, I hope it won't be in my father's memory too.

And last but no means least.. Mum has had breast cancer twice.

I realise many of you will have come across this before in some family or friend context, and it is a sore subject for many, but I feel it's time I chucked my hat into the ring and instead of just chatting about "doing something" actually started kicking my arse into gear.

SO what's the plan so far?

A) Cycling from London to St Tropez

B) Hill walking in the Black Mountains

C) Virgin London Marathon 2014

So......

Get involved!!

Twitter and FB are the best ways to follow my progress on social media

The next few months are going to be really tough training for the FCC. The more people who get involved will make the target more achievable. It truly is a case of many hands make light work. If you want to get involved (AND PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE) then get in touch on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/435272123223109/, Twitter: https://twitter.com/DonnellyOx and email: ox.donnelly@cantab.net

I look forward to seeing you on the Start & Finish lines of the various challenges and hope many of you will join me in The Fatchops Cancer Challenge.

Yours as ever,

Tavi

PS I'll have very little time (or no time) to prep for this as I will be at Sandhurst (for those who hadn't twigged) and will be taking up 2 of my 3 weeks of hols for this. So GET INVOLVED and give me a hand. Thanks x

My name is Tavi, I am 24 and I am at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst training to become an Officer in the British Army. My Dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in February 2013, and this is my page dedicated to raising money to help the organisations that deal with these conditions, find cures and research other treatments for Cancer sufferers.
